Well, I finally finished them!!  These bracelets were requested from a friend way back last July.  She wants us to have matching friendship bracelets(she has Cerebral Palsy), and asked me to make them for us.  I wanted a sturdy bracelet for her so this seemed like a good one.  It's Jane Eborall's Celtic or Overlapping Friendship Bracelet, pattern here: http://www.janeeborall.freeservers.com/CelticFriendBracelet.pdf .
I really love the colors in Jane's!!!!  :)
My friend, Krissy, loves purple and I love blue so this is what I came up with.
They are tatted in Lizbeth size 40 Lilac Dk., Caribbean, and Royal Blue.
I usually use lobster claw clasps, but she has trouble with one arm so I thought these Heart Toggle Clasps from Hobby Lobby would be a better choice.  I can't wait to get it to her(but it will have to wait a little bit cuz' she lives an hour away).  The top one is Krissy's with a purple center, and the bottom one is mine with a blue center.  Oh, don't look to closely at mine please.  I hurried and got it done(with plenty of errors, but I still like it and at least the mistakes are in mine and not hers!).   :)
Oh, and I need to say...I already hate working with 2 shuttles!  Now, I hate working with 4 shuttles!!  And I have a 6 shuttle pattern waiting for me to take that step and make it some day, and I have seen a 12 shuttle which interested me, but I am thinking I would be completely out of my mind to consider that one!!!  :)

Could use some assistance from some wonderful tatters :)

I found this beautiful edging pattern and would love to tat it for my mother-in-law, but when I sat down to tat it I discovered I need help.  I have one repeat done, but the ball thread for the chain is on the wrong side to be able to make the next chain properly.  If someone has tatted this or knows what I am missing I would appreciate any help.  :)

Motif # 4 is Wedding or Anniversary Cross(Wedding for my purpose) by Dee Powell in the book Tatted Bookmarks Needle & Shuttle edited by Barbara Foster.
It's tatted with DMC gold metallic thread 40m and Lizbeth Snow White size 20.  It's really quite small(not what I was expecting) maybe about 3 inches high.
Motif #5 is a one of a kind.  This beautiful pin came from Fox one day and anxiously awaited some embellishment.  Well....I finally got around to "risking" it and went to work yesterday and this is what came out.  I didn't want to detract from the beauty of the pin, so I just highlighted it a bit with some tatting.  :)
It's tatted in (I believe) size 40 HDT from Jess at Tat-i-licious.  It was a request for a thread called confetti, but somehow I didn't really get my idea across to her.  Either way she came up with this beautiful colorway which I called Hippie Summer cuz' it looked like blue jeans and sunset.  Well, the colors matched the colors in this pin so beautifully I knew they had to go together!!!  :)
And the beads are from Jon at TAT-A-RENDA.
I had trouble getting a good picture, but here are 2.  :)
Last of all, I got another suncatcher done for my mother-in-law's friend.  :)  This is Sue Hanson's Val's Suncatcher:  http://freespace.virgin.net/bo.hanson/Tatting/CrystalRing/CrystalsRing.html  (for some reason the link doesn't seem to be working now).  It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Tropical Punch with cheap kids pink(they really are pink, but it only seems to show in the glow on the picture) beads.

Just tatting. :)

This first pattern is Silver Charm Suncatcher Ornament from the Big Book of Tatting by Darlene Polachic.
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Tropical Punch with silver lined clear beads.
The second is from the book Tina Frauberger Schiffchenspitze 1921 pg. 47 bottom design (only the first 4 rounds).  Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Rainbow Splash and Navy Blue with multi-colored beads placed inside the rings.
And...just to use up the navy thread on the shuttle I tatted(not very well) Kerosang from Tatting with Rings by Jon Yusoff.  I used the same beads as in the rings of the suncatcher above(not a pretty mix, but I used them anyway).

A little more tatting. :)

This is another of Sue Hanson's Val's Suncatcher:  http://freespace.virgin.net/bo.hanson/Tatting/CrystalRing/CrystalsRing.html   (for some reason the link doesn't seem to be working now).
It's tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Island Breeze with cheap plastic blue beads(I love this combination!!).
And....using up the left over thread on the shuttle I tatted Kejora from Tatting with Rings by Jon Yusoff, and I am working on another tatting with rings project.

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to all you Fabulous Tatters!!!
Well, a couple weeks ago I asked for some help here:  http://hiskid66.blogspot.com/2014/02/could-use-some-assistance-from-some.html ,  and some fabulous tatters came and offered advice and help.  I was so thankful and have really worked at this.  The solution was to use 2 shuttles, and to make the bottom center ring a SSSR(single shuttle split ring) so that the thread would end up in the correct position to start to next chain.  Also, I have decided that the last ring in the back needs a change in the pattern because it seems as though it should be 8ds, instead of the 4p4 as with all the other large rings on top, then it will resemble the first large ring on top and won't have a picot hanging out there oddly.  I may attempt again, but have decided this will take far longer than I have to complete an edging right now.  :)

I wasn't going to add this motif to the challenge, but then I realized that it was my first time using Josephine knots so I decided that I would add it.  :)  So....motif #7 is Kincir from Tatting with Rings by Jon Yusoff.
Tatted in size 40 Lizbeth Island Breeze.
Next, is just another bangle bracelet dreamcatcher.  A friend asked if I could tat her a dreamcatcher and I said I would.  She wanted red and blue, but I only had this quilting thread which I asked her if it would do and she said yes.  So, here is the red, white, and blue dreamcatcher.

I was tatting for International Tatting Day, but my computer is refusing to recognize my camera for some reason so I wasn't able to upload a photo of this in progress, so....
I am showing it finished because I can scan it now.  :)
This pattern is the Wave(bookmark pattern) from Tatted Bookmarks Needle & Shuttle edited by Barbara Foster Handy Hands, Inc.
It has a repeated mistake in it, but that's ok with me(at least it's all the same).  This bracelet is for me.  Notice the ring of the clasp has a similar pattern around it so they go well together.  :)
It's tatted in size 40 Fairy Dust HDT from Jess at Tat-ilicious with some seed beads.
I just purchased more threads and some beads with the rest of my Christmas money.  I am hoping that the Lord will provide me with plenty of time to start working on more tatting.  :)
Have a blessed day!!  :)

This is Vine Medallion No. 40 from Tatting with Anne Orr.
The directions say size 40 thread.  I used size 3 Corsage HDT from Yarnplayer.
It's imperfect(somehow), but it's so beautiful and I love it!
And since it is for me, it's good enough for me!!  :)
And this shows how large it is.  I plan on using it as a small doily.  :)

This is Rose Medallion # 39 from Tatting with Anne Orr.
It's tatted in size 40 Fairy Dust HDT from Tat-ilicious, and Lizbeth Lilac Med.
The picture below gives you an idea of the size compared to the Vine Medallion tatted in size 3.
In the book they are both tatted in size 40 and the Rose medallion seems a little larger, but with the size 3 it dwarfs in size(just a bit).     :)
Oh, if I remember correctly, I followed the pattern on the Vine Medallion(the big one) and yet noticed that the picture showed 8 rings around the center ring, yet the pattern calls for only 7 picots so I just did what I read.  Either way I love it!
My daughter is reading a book(downloaded to her tablet) titled Love by the Letter by Melissa Jagears and she was telling me that it mentions the girl tatting a few times.  Pretty neat!!  :)

I purchased this gorgeous Corsage HDT from Yarnplayer and have tatted everything for me in it.  This long strange looking piece will be a bracelet when finished-working on pearl tatting.  And the other is random tatting which is now a candle coaster.  :)

Just something I stumbled across and thought I would share. :)

This is much sweeter in real life.  It's Five Petal Pendant from Yarnplayer's Up and Tat' Em book.
It's tatted in size 60 Flame Lantana HDT from Tatskool, with Swarovski Elements Fire Opal Bicone beads.
It's not much bigger than a quarter.  :)
Sorry the picture is so bad!  The scanner and beads don't seem to cooperate!!

This isYarnplayer's Wondrous Window bracelet and pendant from the Up and Tat 'Em book.
They are tatted in size 20 Lizbeth Black and Crochet4U2Dye4 HDT called Sacred Lotus.
I made these for an 80 something year old Cambodian lady who speaks very little English and joins our little church group Sunday evenings.  On Easter Sunday she gave me the necklace on the right side of the picture(it's from Cambodia).  She was very insistent that I keep the necklace so I came home and made her this set and gave it to her last Sunday night.  The expression and response were priceless!!!  :)

The last update on this was way back in 2011 here:
It's for my husband and he is actually being patient with me on this.
I have done just a tiny bit more since this picture(my new camera is no longer recognized by the computer so I had to go to great lengths to get this here).  I am just using the same antique motif over and over and creating my own design.  The pattern is here:  http://www.antiquepatterns.dreamhosters.com/DMCTat.pdf
It's called Ground figure 24 Medallions(apparently the link isn't working any longer or just right now).  I can't wait to see the finished project.....but I guess I will have to wait or learn to tat at the speed of light!!  :)

First is this necklace I had to make to encourage a very young girl who is going through a rough time and is saying that God doesn't love her.  I don't know the situation, but I really felt this might help her remember that He does love her.  It says God loves Renae with an Everlasting Love.
The heart is a "Shrinky-Dink" printed from the computer, then cut into shape and holes punched, then put in the oven to shrink and harden.  Then tatting added in size 40 Lizbeth Rainbow Splash.
And below is the back and I glued a little glittery angel on it.
I have been working on the 2nd of 4...18 foot beaded garlands for my friend.  Here is the link to the first finished one:   http://hiskid66.blogspot.com/2014/01/a-little-tatting-and-lot-of-snow.html
And here are many other things I have worked on, attempted, or am still working on.  :)
Don't look too close...somethings are supposed to be a surprise to show later.  Ha Ha since I know you can see it!!  :)

Ok, I am willing to show this now. :)

Following everyone else's impressive and beautiful tatting of this doily, I just had to try!!!  :)
This is Renulek's Spring Doily.  The Pattern starts here:
I have the first 3 rounds done here.  Getting ready to start the fourth.
The center is size 40 Lizbeth Pineapple Parfait, and the outer round is size 40 Lizbeth Orange Crush.
***Repeated mistake note!  I messed up and didn't join the center rings on the third round, but it's ok.  :)

Renulek's Spring doily round 4 done. :)

Surprise!!!  I have added size 40 Lizbeth Lime Green Med.     :)
It would look nicer if I hadn't just tossed it onto the scanner, but I was in a hurry.  :)
Just had to show it off a bit.  :)
